چکیده

Interleukin 12 receptor beta 1 (IL12Rβ1) deficiency is the most common cause of Mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease (MSMD). MSMD usually predisposes affected individuals infections with weakly virulent mycobacteria such as Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG), environmental mycobacteria, non-typhoidal Salmonella, and certain other intracellular pathogens. presents disseminated BCG infection after exposure vaccine. Infections Salmonella are considered second manifestation MSMD; however, severe presentation organisms unusual. In this report, we describe a case previously healthy infant who was found have IL12Rβ1 she presented hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) secondary enterica sepsis. This report highlights importance considering diagnosis in any patient presenting even absence low-virulent mycobacteria.

A case report of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), is an uncommon, life-threatening hyperinflammatory syndrome caused by severe hypercytokinemia with excessive activation of lymphocytes and macrophages due to a highly stimulated but ineffective immune process. We report a case of Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis in a 15 year old boy presenting with fever, lymphadenopathy and pancytopenia due to infect...

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and related disorders.

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), which has many genetic causes, is characterized by multi-system inflammation. HLH is a reactive process resulting from prolonged and excessive activation of antigen presenting cells (macrophages, histiocytes) and CD8(+) T cells. Hemophagocytosis, which is mediated through the CD163 heme-scavenging receptor, is a hallmark of activated macrophages/histioc...

Death from Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis Syndrome Due to Generalized Hemorrhage

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is the result of excessive cytokine release, leading to over-response by immune cells, such as macrophages and T lymphocytes. Here, we report a lethal case of HLH with a complete clinical course. The patient was a 45-year-old man with fever and chills since two months ago plus splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, and pancytopenia. The Anti-HBc IgM was positive, b...
